Samsung has introduced the worlds slimmest LCD panel. The panel is .82mm (.032 inch) and is .07mm slimmer than the previous record. To put it in a more understandable way, it is no thicker than a credit card.

Samsung have also announced that they have developed a new method for putting panels together, resulting in a smaller size for the same screen real estate. The new panels measure 2.1 and 2.2 inches diagonal, and offer a resolution of 240×320.

I guess it is safe to say that mobile technology will continue to get smaller and smaller.
