ICANN has once again turned down the request for the top-level domain .xxx intended for the adult industry. There were a number of reasons cited for the decision. One reason was the concern that this would lead to ICANN having to declare what falls into the category of adult content in a world where the subject is looked at from all angles of the spectrum, not to mention how controversial a topic it is on some areas. It looks like the headache of the topic just isn’t worth it.
