MySpace Banned At Apple Stores

May 25th, 2007 · No Comments

MySpace continues to find itself getting banned in more and more situations. This time it is Apple retail stores that have enacted a ban. More specifically, Apple is blocking access to the popular social-networking site on the publicly accessible computers at their retail stores.

The move is being made because of situations where people were spending significant amounts of time at the display computers browsing MySpace, thus keeping other potential customers from getting a chance to try out a Mac computer. In some cases, people were loitering at the display computers for hours. People would go so far as to snap pictures of themselves using the built-in camera and upload them to their accounts. Given this, the move comes as no surprise.

At this time, MySpace is the only site that has a complete ban at the stores.
