Dell is bringing its name and desktop computers to the retail market in a deal reached with Wal-Mart. The deal will see 2 models of Dell Dimension desktops being sold through Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club. The price is listed as “under $700″. Canadian Wal-Marts will also sell Dell desktops, but will sell different modes.
This sounds like a good match, as it puts one of the largest names in computers into the largest name in discount retailing. Wal-Mart is looking to expand their electronics division, and the addition of the Dell name to their product line has a good chance of helping.
