In a move sure to please many users fed up with DRM controlling their use of media, Amazon has announced it will launch a service offering DRM-Free music downloads later this year. The music files will be available in Mp3 format. Amongst the 12,000 claimed labels is EMI. With such large names as Amazon and EMI involved in this, hopefully this is an indication of the industry moving to a DRM-Free business model.
