Firefox is my browser of choice for many reasons. One of the reasons is the vast number of ways to customize Firefox to suit your needs with add-ins created by a very active community. If I were to chose one add-in that would top my list of “must have”, it would be the All-in-One Gestures by Marc Boullet. I’ve been using this add-in for as long as I can remember, and would not want to do without it.

All-in-One Gestures offers a convenient way to use “shortcuts” with your mouse. For example, in the default setup if you’ve been navigating around and want go back to the page you were at before you entered the current one, all you would need to do is hold the right mouse button down, and “draw” a line back to the left. This is what I’ve done in the screen shot above. Of course, if you want to go forward to the one you visited after the current one, you “draw” a line to the right. There is a convenient display in your status bar of the current gesture, also seen in the screen shot above. There are many more things available for you to do as well.

Another great feature, is the ability to click the scroll wheel down on your mouse and have an automatic scroll feature pop up. Now whichever direction you move your mouse, the browser will scroll.

There is also a large number of customizations available at the “tools, Add-ons, All-In-One Gestures, Options” You can set the width or color of the trail that is drawn during a gesture, which mouse button the gestures are associated with, and many more.
All-In-One Gestures is available here.
